The QUEERMESS project is an alternative Christmas celebration, developed through a collaboration between Zentralwäscherei and Klamydia von Karma. Taking place on December 25th, the event combines a curated communal dinner, night of drag performance art as well as a dancefloor, transforming a traditionally family-centered holiday into a space of collective gathering, peace, and inclusion.

By merging drag, performance, visual art, dance, music, and a communal dinner, QUEERMESS blurs the boundaries between artistic and social practices, creating a space for all where queer, trans, and non-binary voices are not only visible but celebrated.

The nightclub has historically been more than a site of entertainment: it has been a political engine where stories converge and hierarchies dissolve. QUEERMESS draws on this legacy, positioning the dancefloor as the place where equality and convergence of stories truly begin, where differences become strengths and where collective joy emerges as a form of resistance.
