SOEN

Sweden’s SOEN bring a tidal wave of emotional power and musical precision to the stage, blending progressive metal, post-rock atmosphere, and melodic depth in a sound that’s entirely their own.

Ever since the release of their boundary-breaking debut Cognitive (2012) , former Opeth drummer Martin Lopez and vocalist Joel Ekelöf have led SOEN in carving out a reputation as one of the most compelling live acts in modern metal.

Six studio albums later , their latest release, Memorial (2023), was named Best Album of the Year by Metal Hammer Germany , further cementing the band’s place at the forefront of the genre. With a global fanbase and a streak of critically acclaimed records, SOEN deliver a live experience that’s as heavy as it is haunting — technical yet deeply human.

For fans of bands such as Architects , Gojira , Disturbed, Tool, Devin Townsend , Opeth , and Katatonia , SOEN is a must-see act. Expect sweeping dynamics, raw emotion, and moments of true musical transcendence.
